Chipotle Fundraiser – Take the night off from making dinner while supporting PD! Wednesday, October 4th, Chipotle will give 50% of orders placed between 4pm and 8pm to Pierce Downer! Simply print this flyer or show it on your phone!
Help Wanted – We are looking for a parent to coordinate our spirit wear order in the next month. We have a few vendors other schools have worked with so we are looking for someone to decide on the right vendor and have a website set up by the vendor where parents can order. Reflections – The Reflections program is back again for the 2017-18 school year! Last week, we met with each classroom to discuss the program and gain excitement from the students! Reflections is a national PTA art program where each student is encouraged to submit an entry in one or more of 6 creative categories (listed below, along with the general rules and special artist links). This year’s Reflections theme is: Within Reach. Click on the links below for detailed guidelines/rules per category from the Illinois PTA. Please review the rules carefully before your student begins his/her project. Also, please note that NO 3D entries will be allowed this year in the Visual Arts category.

Girls’ Day Out – THIS THURSDAY is the Downtown DG Shopping Day supporting our schools! Shop our local downtown business and help Pierce Downer win money! Simply shop with your Hall Pass Flyer the school with the most amount of turned in hall passes will win an additional $250 on top of the donation all participating schools will receive. Last year PD came in second, lets go for FIRST this year!!

- Language Stars will teach Spanish on Tuesdays before school starting October 17th. Click here for information on how to register your child.
- Chess Club – Chess Club is back at PD this fall. Chess Scholars will be offering classes beginning Monday, October 2nd from 3pm-4pm in the gym and will run for 5 weeks. No experience necessary; the class is open to all students (K-6). Children will be taught the game and have guided practice time. Click here for flyer and registration.
Battle of the Bands – Hey Parents! Do you sing in the shower? Do you secretly play guitar in your basement? Do you want to learn how to play the triangle? No musical talent, but you would love to be on stage? Join the Pierce Downer Battle of the Bands! This fun spring event is made up of Pierce Downer parent and teacher bands. Yorktown Center School Bucks – SHOP. SHOW. WIN!!! After shopping and dining simply show your Yorktown Center receipts at the Guest Services desk, below the Eatery to accumulate points for Pierce Downer!
