Welcome Back Party – Please join us on the school playground for a fun family event TODAY, August 22nd from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Coach Josh will be providing the music, Skuddlebutts will be selling pizza and a drink for $2.50 and all kids will receive a sweet treat! There will also be a obstacle courses for all students to play in. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend.
DGN Homecoming Parade – Calling all future DGN students! Order your shirts with your graduation year to walk in the DGN homecoming parade on September 22nd right after school! Shirts are $12.00/each. First PTA Meeting – The first PTA meeting and New Family Welcome is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29th, at 6:30pm in the school gym. Babysitting is provided.
Volunteer Sign Up – We are still in need of volunteers for the following positions: Chair- Art Awareness, Chair- Destination Imagination, Chair- Junior Great Books, Chair- STEM/STEAM Committee, and Co-Chairs – Science Olympiad. School Supply Kits – As a reminder, if you ordered school supply kits from Carlson’s online back in May, they will be delivered directly to the school and will be waiting for the students in their classrooms on the first day of school. The teachers will direct the students in labeling their supplies using the pre-printed name labels provided by Carlson’s. Take note of the items that were NOT included in the kits (gym shoes, art smock, old sock, band/orchestra items, etc.) and send those with your student as needed on the first day.
