NEW INFORMATION
PTA Meeting and Volunteer Luncheon –Please join us at RBK at 12:30 on May 18th! This is open to ALL parents who have served in ANY volunteer capacity during the course of the year (volunteering includes anything from working Fun Lunch once to chairing Science Olympiad). The PTA can not provide the breadth of programs without the financial support and volunteer support from our community. We will be voting on year end budget spending, approving the PTA board slate for next year and other year end business. All are welcome and the cost is $5.50 per person. Please RSVP here!


Field Day – Field day is Monday, June 4th. Panther Pacers- Panthers Pacers is in need of volunteers during lunch recess 11:30am-12:30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays in May. Sign up here asap. Please contact Ziba Irvin at zibascott@sbcglobal.net or Kelly Henrikson at kel624@gmail.com with any questions.


REMINDERS
Teacher Appreciation Week – THIS WEEK!  It’s not too late to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them.  Go to our Sign Up website at http://signup.com/go/jhpRceF to see what is still needed this week.  We are still very much in need of gift cards from anywhere & for any amount to be part of a gift card raffle for the teachers on Friday. Our goal is to be able to give all teachers and staff at Pierce Downer a gift card as part of their final thank you wrapping up Teacher Appreciation Week 2018.  Please drop off gift cards to the green gift bag clearly marked for gift cards which is located in the Pierce Downer office behind the fax machine.

Kickbowl 2018 – Calling all PD Boys for the annual kickball tournament with your favorite lady!  The date is May 23rd from 6-8:30pm and pizza will be served! Print the attached form, send it to the office with money and then we will be in touch with your team!
School Supply Kits – Place your student’s school supply kit order now for the 2018/2019 school year.  Order & pay ONLINE ONLY via www.carlsonschoolkits.com.  For complete ordering information click on  2018 Supply Kit Flyer .  Orders will be accepted through Friday, May 18th.
 

Thank you to the amazing Trivia Night committee: Nicki Blattner, Melissa Poirier, Laurie Siebert, Laurie Hurst, Janet Hecht, Mandi Cosenza, Lora Dominow and of course our incredible MC Kevin Murphy! It was a totally RAD night, thank you to all who attended!!

Thank you to all the parents making the Healthy Kids Committee Events possible! Deidre Omahen for heading Earth Week, and Melanie Jankauskas for organizing the Pollinator Snack Challenge along with working with Fresh Thyme. Also, Thank you to Janne Dombrowski, Nicki Blattner, Carla Lampsa, Sara Farrero, Jennie Amidei, Ziba Irvin, Laima Palubinskas, and Kelly Henrikson.

And many thanks to Fresh Thyme for volunteering their time and all snacks to our Pollinator Snack Challenge, and Laura Jane Murphy from Yoga Among Friends for running our morning yoga!
