Teacher Wish Lists – The PTA voted at our general meeting on Friday to pay for the year-end wish lists of 15 individual teachers, plus a request for a Cricut machine, supplies and an annual subscription to Cricut online for the entire staff. The collective total was $8,346 of the money fundraised at Trivia night, Battle of the Bands and the various other smaller fundraisers. Thank you to EVERY FAMILY who has contributed to the PTA this year, as you have made these wishes come true! Gifts teachers requested include: pencil sharpeners, clipboards, new kindergarten chairs, staplers, magnetic white boards in the 1st grade break out rooms, new intervention curriculum for K-3, benchmark assessment kit, a new field day parachute, agility training kit, hokki stools, LRC display shelving, idea paint, wobble stools, book bins, new 1st grade area rug, plastic storage, bins for art, ball chairs, pod seats and ‘sculpture in a box’ kits. Thank you to Teri Bonk and Joanna Matthies for organizing Teacher Appreciation Week! We also want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all who helped to make Teacher Appreciation Week 2018 the best that it could be! Thank you to all who donated time, tasty baked goods, pretty paper products, beautiful center pieces, supplies, generous gift cards and so much more to make the week so special! The teachers and staff from Pierce Downer definitely felt very appreciated! If you donated a baked good item on a plate or platter and did not stop in the lounge at the end of the day to pick it up, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you again to all who so generously donated to make Teacher Appreciation Week 2018 so wonderful!
