Chicago Wolves Game Fundraiser – Come watch the 1st place Chicago Wolves on Sunday, April 24th at 3pm.  The Wolves are an exciting AHL team who have already clinched their division and are headed to the playoffs! Each ticket includes a free Chicago Wolves knit hat and a portion of every ticket is being donated to Pierce Downer Elementary to help support our programs. Tickets are $20 each and parking is $15 (cash only).  If you have any questions please contact veronica.e.roche@gmail.com. April Dine-Out at The Foxtail – Please join us for our April dine-out on Wednesday, April 20th, from 11:30am – 9pm, at The Foxtail. Dine-in or carry out and 20% of your check total will go back to Pierce Downer PTA! You must mention PIERCE DOWNER FUNDRAISER for our school to receive the 20% credit.

You’re PAWsome Signs – Our yard signs are a perfect way to show your PD spirit and support our school at the same time! Great for birthdays, or just to surprise your PD Panther! For only $25, your chosen address will get 5 yard signs installed in the front lawn for 1 full day, by a member of our You’re PAWsome team. Please reserve and pay for your day(s) HERE.

REMINDERS

Spirit Wear is Back! – We are doing a limited run of spirit wear and orders are due by 4/12 with an estimated delivery date of 5/10. Due to supply chain issues, some garments may be placed on back order, delaying the fulfillment or some orders. Click HERE for the QR code to begin your order! PLAY! at Pierce: Did you hear that our playground renovation received $74,600 from the State of Illinois?  We are 46% of the way to our $250,000 goal and we need the entire PD community to help us reach our goal!

  • Purchase a customizable, engraved brick for our legacy path.
  • Join us on May 21st for our golf outing, happy hour and/or dinner.  Purchase tickets here.
  • Donate goods, services or experiences for our silent auction.

Chess Scholars is NOW FULL – Chess Scholars is now FULL at Pierce Downer on Mondays from 2pm-3pm from April 11th – May 23rd. Stay tuned for Fall 2022 to find out about more Chess Scholar opportunities!

Thank you to our amazing SLC committee: Melissa Inboriboon, Megan and Jordan Skarr, Leigh Anne Larsen, Carrie Garman, Mimi Modica, and Carin Hawkins for planning, organizing and managing our events. Our SLC partners: Deb Waggoner at Sharing Connections,  Colleen Loftus at West Suburban Community Pantry, and Feed My Starving Children. These are all organizations that your family can continue to volunteer at all summer. The hope of the SLC is to inspire you and your families to keep serving others in need beyond the SLC. We send a BIG thank you to all the families who used their time and talents to help others throughout the year… if it was through small acts of kindness throughout your day or at one of our events. Every small act makes a BIG difference in someone’s life…thanks for all you do!
