Teacher Appreciation Volunteers STILL Needed – We are still looking for a few more parents to help decorate our school for Teacher Appreciation week this Friday, April 30th, at 3pm. If you’re available and interested, please contact Jen Meggos at email@example.com.
Last PD PTA General Meeting for 2020-21 school year – The PTA will hold its last General Meeting for this school year on Tuesday, May 18th at 7:30 pm. More details on this meeting to come soon. Please calendar and we hope you will join us!
PD Student Council Fundraiser – Student Council is hosting ONE fundraiser this year. Student Council has decided to collect money for the West Suburban Humane Society. Their main event will be a Zoom baking event with the Happy Dog Barkery on May 6th from 4:30-5:00. One of the very talented Barkery Bakers will be showing students how to make dog treats. Student Council is asking for a small donation (suggested: $10.00) in order to participate. Your donation can be made via the PD PTA Member Hub Website. Please fill out this Google Form by Monday, May 3rd so that Student Council can give the Barkery an estimate of the number of people that will be attending the event. Once they get closer to the event, Student Council will send a list of ingredients and the Zoom link you will need to participate.The week of May 3-7 will also include some fun spirit days, information and activities to promote awareness of the West Suburban Humane Society. Please reach out to Ms. Minardi, Mrs. DeMarco or Mr. Wagner if you have any questions.
Thank you to Kelly Larsen, Kelly Henrikson and Katie Hardy for all of their hard work (including outdoor yoga!) during Earth Week. The students loved all of the activities! In addition, a big thank you to Mr. Wagner and Mrs. Smith and all of the teachers and staff that helped build the pledge tree on display inside the school. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Berto’s fundraiser last week. We raised $150 for the PTA!
Ice Cream Truck for PD Teachers/Staff – Yesterday, the PD PTA provided an ice cream truck for the PD teachers and staff as a thank you for all they do for our students. Thank you PD Teachers and Staff!
