STEAM – Chess Club – It’s time to sign up for spring Chess Club at PD. Chess Scholars will be offering classes from Monday, April 23rd-May 21st. It runs from 3pm-4pm in the gym and it will run for 5 sessions. No experience necessary; the class is open to all students (K-6). Children will be taught the game and have guided practice time. Fun Run – The PD Fun Run is coming up right after school at 3:15pm on Thursday, May 3rd. We hope you will join us for this one mile walk or run. Please fill out the Fun Run Registration and turn into the office with cash or check made out to Pierce Downer PTA. The entry fee is $5 per person or $20 per family and preschoolers are free. Please return your registration by April 13th to guarantee Paw printed socks.

Dads’ Night Out – Just a reminder for all of you Dads to go out to Alter Brewery April 12 from 7pm-10pm! A great chance to meet new friends or hang with old…Pizza will be served too! If you are planning on going please sign up here! You will be paying at the door – cash only. Hope to see you there!
- FRENCH: French Classes are being extended at PD. Class is during lunch. The Language Labs wants to continue further enriching young minds by offering FRENCH! Madame Marie-Colette a native from Normandy, France is ready to teach her lessons in fun and engaging ways! Classes will be on Fridays during lunch/recess from April 6-June 1 for all students (K-6).
