Teacher Experience Raffle Tickets Available for Purchase – Teacher experience raffle tickets are NOW available for purchase on Memberhub through this Friday May 6th at 12pm. Raffle tickets are $10 for 10 entries. There is no limit on the number of raffle tickets that may be purchased. Winners will be notified via email on Sunday, May 8th. When purchasing raffle tickets you will be prompted to select if you would like additional bonus entries for an extra $1 – $2.50. Please note that this fee does not go to the Pierce Downer PTA but rather is given directly to Memberhub. Save the Date for the PD PTA Volunteer Luncheon – Thursday, May 19th at 11:30 – This is open to ALL parents who have served in ANY volunteer capacity during the course of the year. The PTA can not provide the breadth of programs without the financial support and volunteer support from our community. We will be voting on year end budget spending, approving the PTA board slate for next year and other year end business. Details on the luncheon to come in next week’s newsletter!!

1 mile fun run/walk Please register at the link below. You must be registered to participate. Families are welcome to join. Cost is $20 per family which includes 1 t-shirt. PLAY! at Pierce: Please visit our website to complete the Community Input Survey. We are heading into design stages and need everyone’s input. This is a playground for all our children and we understand that not everyone can join our committee, but we need input from everyone! The survey is available until May 15th, so don’t delay!
Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this year’s book fair possible, and to all of the shoppers who made it a huge success. We raised over $2,500 for the PD library! It was great to see so many excited readers perusing the bookshelves!
Thank you to our Battle of the Bands committee (Mariah Cameron, Matt Garman, Allison Heverin, Sarah Scholz, Kelly Henrikson, Amy Hancock, and Jennifer VanHoutan) and all the performers for making this year’s Battle of the Bands a huge success! Also, thank you to Justin Odenbach and Tim Heverin for helping out with equipment needs, Brian Moore for emceeing, and all of the PTA members who worked the door.
Thank you Teacher Appreciation Week – Rolling out the red carpet for our PD staff! Students created stars sharing why they feel their teacher is a super star, which line the halls. Each day has a movie themed meal with that movie playing in the lounge to enjoy! Snacks provided throughout the week as well. Click HERE to see pictures.
