NEW INFORMATION

Art Awareness – Have you been looking for a chance to visit your student’s classroom this year? Consider volunteering for an Art Awareness month by signing up on this Sign up Link!  There are many grades still needing volunteers – and all the hard work of lesson planning is already set up for you, there is even a supply cabinet at school.  Please find more information on Art Awareness by clicking HERE and a sample lesson can be found HERE. Please email Jana Sutherland (sutherland.jana@gmail.com) or Jamie Moss (jkmdds@hotmail.com), with any questions!

DG58 Reading Games  – Reminder that registration for The Reading Games is only open through Jan. 14th! This fun reading competition will take place on Saturday, April 23 at O’Neill Middle School, and it is open to District 58 students in grades 3-8. Students read books from one of two book lists, then face other teams to answer questions about the books they’ve read. It is a great opportunity for kids to read new books and discuss them with friends. Teams are made up of five-to-eight students, and may include students from different grades and schools. However, due to space limitations, participation in The Reading Games is limited only to District 58 students.

Team Registration – Completing this form reserves a spot for your team to compete on Saturday, April 23, 2022. You do not need to identify the students who will be on your team for this registration, so there is time to finalize the team members. In February or March 2022, you will be asked to provide a team name and the contact information for a team volunteer (16 years or older) to participate in one of many roles to run the event.

2022 Reading Games: Team Registration Form

Individual Registration – If you have a child who would like to participate but does not have a team, you may request a spot using the individual registration form. Individual student registration closes on Jan. 14, 2022. Although we cannot guarantee a spot on a team, we will do our very best to match children to existing teams, or to assist you in creating a new team, by Feb. 1, 2022.2022 Reading Games: Individual Student Registration Form
