PTA Meeting – Please join us for the first PTA meeting and New Family Welcome tomorrow Wednesday, August 31st from 7:00pm-8:00pm in the school gym. Babysitting is provided.
PD School Directory Cover Art Contest – All Pierce Downer students are encouraged to enter our contest to design the cover for this year’s school directory. The theme for the artwork should be “Show your PAWS.” Click on Directory Art Contest 2016-2017 for contest guidelines. All entries are due by end of the school day, Friday, September 9th. Mr. Sisul will select the winning artwork.
Fun Lunch – It’s time to order Fun Lunch! The PTA is excited to offer the Fun Lunch program again this year for grades K-6. Fun Lunch is an opportunity for parents to pre-order food from Skuddlebutts, that will be delivered to school and distributed by a group of parent volunteers during the regular lunch times. Please remember that Fun Lunch is completely optional. You do NOT have to participate if your child is not interested. You can also pick and choose which dates your child participates. It is completely up to your family. This is meant to be something fun for the kids and a day that you don’t have to pack lunches!
If you are a returning Pierce Downer family who ordered last year, go to www.orderlunches.com and sign in with your username and password to start your order Next, update your profile information for each of your children. Choose the student and update the grade/teacher, then click “update profile.” If a student has graduated from Pierce Downer, select their name and click “remove profile.”
If you are new to Fun Lunch, go to www.orderlunches.com, click on “register” to create an account. The school password for new users is PDE257.
The website is very user-friendly and will fully explain how to order lunches. You must go to the shopping cart and pay online to complete your order. Please note, Fun Lunch is offered to children in grades K-6. Just as last year Fun Lunch will take place approximately every other Thursday, starting on Thursday, September 22nd. Please refer to the Pierce Downer website calendar for an up to date schedule of Fun Lunch.
Please keep in mind you are ordering now for the entire school year. Fun Lunch ordering will end on Thursday, September 15th. There will be no exceptions to this, so please make sure you get all your ordering in by that date.
