Parent Education & PTA Meeting – TONIGHT – Please join us at 7:00pm in the Gym for our PTA meeting. Following our brief meeting, executive function skills specialist, Lisa Marsicano, will give a one hour parent education presentation. Service Learning – The committee is hard at work putting together monthly service opportunities for Pierce Downer families! Sign up for Belmont Prairie Clean-up and Wellness House Tour. - Friday, November 18: The Wellness House – An invitation to tour the facility which supports, educates and empowers individuals affected by cancer and their families. RSVP by 11/15.
- Saturday, November 19: R.E.A.P. (Restore, Education, and Preserve) – Help preserve Belmont Prairie (Cross St and Haddow Ave in Downers Grove) from 8am-10:30am by collecting seeds, restoring trails and removing invasive bush. RSVP by 11/15.
- December: The West Suburban Community Pantry (http://wcpinc.org) – Food/toy drive for the holidays and opportunity to come to their facility to sort and distribute items to those in need. Stay tuned for more details!

- Your time to shine, it’s acting time! In Afterschool Stage Stars children will learn theater terms, play games, and act in short skits. Every student will have the opportunity to play at least one lead role per session.
- Bricks4Kids Engineering (6 week session for K – 2nd graders)

- Monday 11/28/16 – 01/30/17 (no class no school 12/19, 12/26, 01/02, and 01/16)
- Students will explore a variety of brand new STEM related themes and topics! Each week the students will build a different moving model.
- Bricks4Kidz new Jr. Robotics (6 week session for 3rd – 6th graders)
