PTA General Meeting – Please join us for our next PTA General Meeting, which will be held this week on Thursday, November 11th at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held inside Pierce Downer (in the library). We are asking that parents sign up for this meeting due to group size restrictions. Cadence Dine Out – Please join us for our monthly dine-out night next Thursday, November 18th at Cadence Kitchen & Co. from 3-10pm. Dine-in or carry out, simply mention the Pierce Downer fundraiser and 20% of your check will go back to our school! Click here for the flyer.
You’re PAWsome Yard Signs – Here’s a great way to surprise your kids with some Pierce Downer spirit! From November 1-23, you can have 5 paw shaped yard signs installed in the front yard of your choice for the day! Cost for 5 signs is $25. Purchase your experience HERE and make sure to include your name, phone number and address where you would like signs to be placed. Signs will be installed and removed by the “You’re PAWsome” team. Signs will remain in yards for 24 hours and will arrive between 11/1-11/23. Pictures of the PAWsome signs can be found HERE.
LAST CALL!!! Battle of the Bands – We are so lucky to have so many musically talented individuals in our neighborhood. It has been our yearly tradition to recruit parents and form bands that get together to practice- with the end goal of performing at Ballydoyle in the spring. This year’s performance date is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, April 30th. In order to continue this ten year tradition- WE NEED YOU!! Do you play an instrument? Do you sing? Have you never performed on stage, but always wanted to? Now is your chance! We are looking for musicians of ALL ability levels to perform. You do not need a full band to register, we are happy to help form bands.

Thank you to all parents, students, and staff who donated their Halloween Candy for the PD PTA Healthy Kids Committee Halloween Candy Collection. We were able to collect over 15 full grocery TJ bags of candy and donate to 3 local non-for-profit organizations. Way to go, PD Community! HKC donated all Halloween Candy to the DG Fish Pantry, St. Joe’s Food Pantry, and Treats for Troops. Thank you for HKC Co-Chairs for organizing. Thank you to Kelly Larsen for collecting candy daily and dropping off candy to each donation location. And thank you to Mrs. French for taking Thursday’s candy to DG Fish Pantry!
