Evereve Night Out – Reminder to please come join us TONIGHT from 6pm-9pm at Evereve in Burr Ridge for wine, snacks and shopping. 15% of the sales will go back to Pierce Downer school. Mojo’s East Coast Eats fundraiser– Come enjoy lunch or dinner tomorrow, Wednesday, November 6th all day from 10:30a to 8:00p. Mojo’s will donate 10% of the day’s total sales directly back to Pierce Downer! Mojo’s is located at 2758 Maple Ave in the strip mall at the NE corner of Maple and Walnut.
Trivia Night – Pierce Downer Trivia Night registration opens this Friday, November 8th! Trivia night will be held on February 8, 2020 at the Moose Lodge. Enjoy this amazing and entertaining evening that directly benefits your kids! More information on registration to come.
PTA Meeting & Presentation – The PTA is sponsoring a short presentation and Q&A with Dr. Kevin Russell, superintendent of DG58 on Tuesday, November 12th at 7pm in the PD Library after a brief PTA meeting. Dr. Russell is excited to meet a lot of our PD parents! Please note after Dr. Russell’s presentation, we will be voting on a few items that will impact the PTA budget. The school has approached the PTA to purchase a new laminating machine to replace the old laminating machine from 2002. The cost of the machine is $1,039.00 Secondly, we will be voting to increase the teacher/staff supplies allowance from $75.00 to $150.00. Please plan on attending this informative meeting! Babysitting will be provided.
REMINDERS
Donate Candy for Troops – Reminder that through November 8th you can donate your unwanted/extra candy. Simply drop candy in the collection boxes in the front school lobby. The Healthy Kids Committee in collaboration with FedEx is collecting candy to be sent to Operation Gratitude who will send the candy to our troops stationed overseas during the holidays.
