SLC – The Service Learning Committee is pleased to offer another opportunity for PD families to help our neighbors in need! This time, we are partnering with Sharing Connections to gather toys for local children struggling with poverty. If you’d like to learn more about Sharing Connections and the important work they do, please check out this video: https://vimeo.com/359383446 This year, Sharing Connections is most in need of toys for kids 5-9 years old. Some ideas for that age group include: Lego sets, ethnically diverse dolls/Barbies, walkie-talkies, remote control toys, sports items, light up dance mat, and action figures. You can find more ideas on their Amazon wish list . Sharing Connections is glad to receive multiples of the same toy, and $25 gift cards to Walmart and Target are welcome as well. The Toy Drive will run from now until November 25th. Please consider how your family can help and drop off your donations on the front porch of the Amidei’s house at 4941 Cornell Ave. Any questions, please contact Jennie at jenamidei@gmail.com or Carin at carinhawkins@yahoo.com.
