Scholastic Book Fair – The fall Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the LRC during parent-teacher conferences, which are next week. Stop by and support the LRC and the love of reading on the following dates:Tuesday, October 15th: 12-3pm and 4:30-8pm and Thursday, October 17th: 4:30-8pm. Student previews will take place net Wednesday and Thursday mornings during students’ book checkout times. Students in grades 3-6 can shop during preview times and may bring a max of $20 to school in an envelope.
Reflections – The Reflections program is back again for the 2019-20 school year! We were excited to meet with each classroom to discuss the program and saw a lot of excitement from the students! Reflections is a National PTA art program where each student is encouraged to submit an entry in one or more of 6 creative categories (Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Visual Arts, Photography, and Music Composition). This year the National PTA Reflections theme is: “Look Within”. Please review the rules carefully (national link here) before your student begins his or her project(s). MOD Pizza Fundraiser/Homecoming T Shirts – Thank you to all who visited MOD pizza for lunch or dinner last Thursday, because of you we raised approximately $354. Thanks also to all who purchased homecoming shirts, because of you we raised approximately $300. Both of these items earned money that that will go directly back to Pierce Downer! We appreciate your support! Thank you to Vikki Jacknow for organizing!
