STEAM – Sticky Fingers Cooking Classes: ACT FAST-Classes start next week and will fill up quickly. Let your child release their inner chef! Students will prepare and eat healthy, international inspired recipes all while learning to cook in a fun, engaging, hands-on and real-world way! 100% nut free, vegetarian and happily accommodate for any and all food allergies. Two options are being offered for grades K-6: either a Tuesday or a Friday class from 3-4pm. Click here for more information and registration details.
The Reading Games – The Reading Games are back at O’Neill Middle School on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Registered teams of DG58 children in grades 3-8 will participate in a friendly competition of trivia style questions. The “WIN” is getting our children to read more and to enjoy reading. Team registration will open Monday, October 1st and will close Sunday, October 7th. We will accommodate every team that wants to participate. As long as the adult team lead registers their team during the registration window and completes the final registration in January, their team will have a spot at The Games.
We will follow team registration with an individual student registration for those needing assistance in finding a team. As in the past, we ask that all teams bring 2 adult chaperones to the event, and a third adult volunteer who will participate as a moderator, scorekeeper, or in one of many other important roles. Please note, you do not need student names or team name at this time. Please check out our website for more information, and to see our 2019 Reading Games Book Lists. Questions, contact ReadingGamesDG58@gmail.com
